ایمانداری بہترین حکمتِ عملی ہے

ایک دفعہ کا ذکر ہے کسی راجہ کا لڑکاشکار کھیلتے  ہوئے جنگل میں اپنے ساتھیوں سے بچھڑ کر راستہ بھول گیا چلتے چلتے شام ہو گئی۔دور سے ایک جھونپڑی دکھائی دی نزدیک پہنچا تو معلام ہوا ایک کسان کا گھر ہے۔راجہ کے لڑکے نے کِسان سے کہا" رات کا وقت ہے ،راستہ بھول گیا ہوں، تم اجازت دو تو رات یہاں  کاٹ لوں"؟ آپ کا گھر ہے آئیے بڑی  خوشی سے یہاں  ٹھریئے جو کچھ روکھی سُوکھی گھر میں موجود ہے حا ضر ہے

راجہ کے بیٹے  نے رات وہاں کاٹی خوب آرام پایا صبح ہوئی  تو اپنے گھر کا راستہ لیاچلتے وقت بٹوے میں سے ایک اشرفی نکال کر کِسان کو دینے لگا۔کِسان نے لینےسے انکار کر دیااور کہا ہم نے آپ کی خدمت روپے کی لالچ میں نہیں کی ہے۔یہ تو ہمارا اخلاقی فرض تھا۔آپ ہمیں شرمندہ کیوں کرتے ہیں"۔؟

دن چڑھا تو کِسان کا لڑکا بیل لی کرباہر کھیتوں کو چل دیا۔۔راستے میں اُسے بٹوا، ملا۔کھول کر دیکھا تو اُس میں بیس اشرفیاں تھیں۔لڑکے نے بٹوا، اُسی جگہ زمین میں دبا دیااور باپ کو آکر خبر دی۔باپ نے کہا تم نے بہت اچھا کیاکہ بٹوا، وہیں دبا دیا۔یہ پرایا مال ہے۔اس کے مالک کی تلاش کریں گے۔جب ملے گا تو اُسے دے دیں گے

ایک سال بعد راجہ کا لڑکا، پھر اُدھر سے گزرا اور کِسان کو ملنے کے لیئے ٹھر گیا۔باتوں باتوں میں اُس نے اپنے بٹوے کے گِر جانے کا بھی ذکر کیا۔کِسان بہت خوش ہوا، اور کہا۔آپ کا بٹوا میرے لڑکے کو ملا تھااور جہاں پایا تھا وہیں اُسنے دبا دیا جائیے جا کر نکال لیجئے۔راجہ کے لڑکے نے کہا آپ منگوا دیں۔کِسان نے لڑکے کو بھیجااور وہ بٹوا، لے آیا۔راجہ کے َلڑکے نے اُسے کھول کر دیکھا تو اُس میں پوری کی پوری اشرفیاں پائیں۔اُس نے اُس میں بیس اشرفیاں اور ڈال دیں اور کسان سے کہا لو یہ بٹوا میں تمہیں انعام دیتا ہوں۔میں تمہارے راجہ کا بیٹا ہوں کِسان یہ سُن کر لڑکے کے قدموں میں گِر پڑا اور کہنے لگا ہمیں معلوم نہ تھا۔کہ آپ ہمارے آقا ہیں۔اب میں یہ انعام آپ سے لے لیتا ہوں۔میں اس اپنے بیٹے کے بیاہ پر خرچ کروں گا۔

سچ ہے ایمنداری کا پھل ضرور ملتا ہےاور ایماندار آدمی ہمیشہ دینا میں سربلند اور سرخرو ہوتا ہے۔

Story: Honesty is the Best Policy

Once upon a time, the son of a king went hunting. While hunting in the forest, he got separated from his companions and lost his way. As he wandered, evening fell. In the distance, he saw a small hut. When he approached, he realized it was the home of a farmer. The prince asked the farmer, “It’s getting late, and I’ve lost my way. Could I stay here for the night?”

The farmer replied, “This is your home. Please, come in! We’d be happy to have you here. We don’t have much, but whatever little food we have is yours.”
The prince spent the night at the farmer’s house, rested well, and prepared to leave in the morning. As he was leaving, he took a gold coin from his wallet and offered it to the farmer. The farmer refused to accept it, saying, “We didn’t serve you for the sake of money. It was our moral duty to help you. Why would you embarrass us by offering money?”

Later that day, the farmer’s son took the ox and went to the fields. On his way, he found a wallet lying on the ground. He opened it and saw that it contained twenty gold coins. The boy buried the wallet right where he had found it and went back home to tell his father. His father praised him and said, “You did the right thing by leaving the wallet there. It belongs to someone else. We’ll wait for the owner and return it to them when they come looking.”

A year later, the prince passed by the same area again and decided to stop by and visit the farmer. During their conversation, he mentioned losing his wallet the previous year. The farmer was overjoyed and said, “My son found your wallet and buried it where he discovered it. You may go and retrieve it.”

The prince asked the farmer to have his son bring it. The farmer sent his son, who returned with the wallet. The prince opened it and found all the gold coins intact. Overwhelmed with joy, he added twenty more gold coins to the wallet and said to the farmer, “Take this wallet as a reward. I am the king’s son.”

Upon hearing this, the farmer fell at the prince’s feet and said, “We didn’t know you were our ruler’s son. Now that I know, I’ll humbly accept this reward. I will use it for my son’s wedding.”
It is true that honesty always bears fruit, and an honest person is always respected and successful in this world.
